Welcome to my site. First - a quick message which shouldn't be up too long:

Pending Wakefield MDC sticking to their word, I am overjoyed to state that I will not be standing for MP in Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford. In the middle of 2009, when I launched my campaign, I wrote of my single local target: "The removal of the Town End Traffic lights in Pontefract and their replacement with a safer, less time consuming design.." and added "I would consider my tenure a overwhelming success if I could fix Pontefract's Traffic" As of January 2010 five different models of Town End have been placed on the table for WMDC to choose from. I don't know if they are good or bad, but I reckon that as things stand, I can say regarding Town End, I would be unlike to achieve significantly more as an MP than what I have done already. So that's that – the single local issue which some might say is critical to an Independent's campaign has, for me at least, been acted upon and by May, whether or not the right decisions have been taken there is nothing I would be able to do about it. Regarding other issues, somebody else is welcome to carry the torch now. I would support you if I could and I believe that votes against 'New Labour' will be fundamentally good for the Labour Party in the long term. I have had a great time, learned some serious stuff, and am proud of everybody.

Golf : I am a member of Darrington Golf Club, and am fascinated why this dynamic game is such a pleasure to play.

Maps : A jigsaw like hobby of mine, piecing together Ordnance Survey maps.

Politics (Old site) Politics (New site): As time wears on the more I am baffled by our politicians and even more so the people who vote for them. Democracy is fine in theory, but in a democracy when 55% of the people have only 5% of the wealth, unless those people are really happy there must be something going wrong.

Me : I hate web sites about people saying "Hey..look at me". Anyway - Hey, look at me. I live in hope that some organisation will say - that's fine, don't bother with your CV, it's all here. All the miscellaneous stuff is here.
